Debut album is Best Kept Secret

The Warrington Guardian’s music reporter is hoping to become the next big thing after recording his debut album.

Joel Sawyer, (20), has spent the last five years writing Best Kept Secret, a collection of ten laid back, piano-led tracks.

Now he plans to circulate the demo in a bid to secure a record deal.

Joel started writing songs since the age of 11 and is a member of the Warrington Music Collective, a group of acoustic musicians.

He can play a number of instruments and is a regular on the Warrington live circuit.

Work will now begin on the follow up to Best Kept Secret and we shouldn’t have to wait long – Joel has more than 50 new songs ready to be recorded.
