Click-a-pic in online improvements

A new feature from the Banbury Guardian lets the readers preview and order photos from the newspaper’s website.

By following a link on the homepage, readers can select the image they’re after, click on it and fill in their payment and delivery details.

The new facility also allows the picture archive to be searched using keywords or the date.

It is one of a range of improvements to the website, which is now attracting some 17,500 page impressions a month. That is a 43 per cent increase on the same time last year.

And although it is a weekly newspaper, the Guardian website is updated daily with breaking news before it is published in the paper itself.

Other areas include sport, features, nostalgia, letters and a court reports list. Local campaigns and awards also have special sections on the website, as well as pages of classified advertising which list all local businesses for free.
