Post teams up with City's top team

Bristol footballers were given the perfect excuse to keep their shirts on after training last week, as the took part in a charity campaign.

Strip 4 Shelter, the charity which provides housing for the homeless, runs the annual day in which participants pay £2 to wear their favourite football shirt for the day.

Bristol City players teamed up with the Evening Post to support the campaign.

City fan and star of Blackadder Tony Robinson also lent his support to the day as the charity aims to break the £750,000 barrier.

It is the third year the day has been held and so far over £500,000 has been collected.

Chirs Holmes, director of Shelter said: “We are delighted the Evening Post and Bristol City agreed to back Strip 4 Shelter as South West’s regional media partner.”
