A scheme to help raise thousands of pounds every month for the Stoke Sentinel-backed Donna Louise Trust has been launched by a group of businessmen in North Staffordshire.
Cause Call, a national telephone service provider, was set up this year specifically to help raise funds for good causes and has pledged to support the Sentinel-backed Donna Louise Trust.
The company is offering people the chance to subscribe to Cause Call to make a 25 per cent saving on their telephone bill, as well as helping raise money for charity.
Customers are provided with a Callsaver socket, which routes calls via Cause Call. Then each time a call is made the company donates a percentage of the call cost 10 per cent for calls to landlines, five per cent to mobiles) to charity.
Managing Director Steve Walsh said Cause Call’s aim was to raise £100,000 a year for the Donna Louise Trust.
He said: “If enough people sign up, the potential amount of money which can be raised is huge.”
Glyn Berwick, fundraising director for the Donna Louise Trust, said: “This is really good news for us. If enough people sign up it will give the Trust a guaranteed income for the foreseeable future.”
