Knees up (literally) for Gazette staff

Keep-fitters from the Wiltshire Gazette & Herald were put through their paces in a bid to raise money for charity.

Chippenham-based reporter Dean Valor (pictured below) and Jill Crookes (in the blue top) from the Devizes office, joined a fitness morning sponsored by their paper at a local sports centre.

The event was to bring in cash for the paper’s St John Ambulance Appeal, which aims to raise enough money to buy a new ambulance for the county.

Instructors gave their time free of charge so that all the £5 fees to take part went directly to the appeal.

Money for three new Crusader ambulances has already been raised in Wiltshire, but there are still 11 to buy and the weekly is urging readers to help raise the £40,000 needed to buy just one.
