A milestone has been reached by the Telegraph & Argus’ Bradford Can… cancer research appeal as the total moved into six figures.
The life-saving fund stands at a massive £100,000, a tribute to the dedicated fundraising of the people of Bradford, determined to find a cure for cancer.

Individuals, community groups, schools, church groups and businesses have all rallied to the call for help and every single penny has counted towards the bid to raise £1m.
Appeal chairman Linda Pollard said: “The response of the general public is hotting up and we are getting community spirit, which was part of the overall objective of the appeal.”
The £1m will be spent on pioneering research into anti-cancer drugs at the University of Bradford’s Cancer Research Unit.
The money will trigger a further £5m of funding from Cancer Research UK, which will also pay for more trials of anti-cancer drugs at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
