This course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge to get into journalism as quickly as possible – with the NCTJ qualification, your portfolio of published work and work experience under your belt.

Our training centre is based next to the newsroom at The Argus, Brighton’s daily newspaper – giving you plenty of opportunity for work experience during the course and getting your stories published.

With the support of the excellent tutors (who are all working journalists) our students achieve some of the best NCTJ exam results in the country.

Our students won the Annual NCTJ award for “Top Scoop” in 2008 and 2009, as well as winning two national NCTJ Public Affairs prizes in 2009.

3 Weeks Work Experience

We are the only journalism course to guarantee three weeks of work experience. You have the choice of shifts as reporters, sub-editors and feature writers; you can choose newspapers, magazines and on-line publications; and you have the choice of sport, fashion, news, business, features – work experience to match your preferences.
