Bright new start as news staff move to new offices

New office premises are heralding the start of a new era for the Hertford and Harlow Heralds.

The offices in Harlow town centre mark phase one of a re-launch of the titles.

Project manager Ian Steel said: “Our aim is simple – to produce the most successful group of newspapers in East Hertfordshire and Essex.

“We will ensure that our staff have the right tools and backing to be more than the best.”

The new operation brings together Archant editorial and sales staff who were previously spread across the region at different centres.

Hertford edition editor Barry Hunt said: “With a new office and new staff we can set our own rules to make the heralds the envy of the group. This is a great opportunity and we intend to enjoy every minute of it.”

Harlow Series editor Peter Jeffrey said: “We are now in an ideal position to carve out a big, prosperous future for The Herald Series and have lots of good ideas about how to achieve this, plus the enthusiasm and ability of our multi-disciplined staff to make it happen.”
