The former editor of the University of Oxford’s student newspaper has joined a weekly newspaper as a trainee reporter.
Suzanne Antelme has announced her appointment as a journalist at the Reading Chronicle.
Suzanne, pictured, is an Oxford history and politics graduate and served as editor-in-chief of Cherwell, the university’s independent student paper, in 2023.
She has also freelanced for The Times and the Moscow Times.
Posting on LinkedIn on Wednesday, Suzanne wrote: “I’m delighted to share that I’ve joined Newsquest Media Group as a trainee news reporter.
“I’ll be working across Newsquest’s Berkshire and Buckinghamshire titles but mostly focusing on the Reading Chronicle and Bracknell News.
“As a trainee, I’ll also be studying part-time for my fully funded NCTJ qualification.
“Thank you to [editor] Andrew Colley and the rest of the Berkshire team for a great first day.”
