An editorial boss who ran his first marathon last year is set to complete a fresh running double for charity.
Jon Gripton raised more than £3,000 for charity by completing the London Marathon in his first attempt in April 2024.
Now, he is set to run his second marathon, this time in Manchester, followed by Exeter’s 10km Great West Run.
Jon, who works as assistant to Tindle Newspapers group chief executive Danny Cammiade, is looking for sponsorship as he raises funds and awareness for the FORCE cancer charity, based in Exeter, which provides support to anyone affected by cancer.
He said: “Running gives me head space and thinking time. You get to see beautiful scenery and nature, or with your head up you see things in towns and cities you never normally notice.
“And this year I’m running to raise funds and awareness for the FORCE cancer charity. More than 400,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer this year, according to Cancer Research UK.
“FORCE supports patients and their families after diagnosis, and they have seen a steep increase in visits and requests for help.”
