Journalist calls on 50 years of interviews to inspire new book

A journalist has written a series of short stories based on interviews he carried out during his 50-year career.

Kelvin Brown’s ‘I’m not one to gossip – Tales from a small village’ includes 32 interlinked short stories about characters living in a small town in the Essex marshland.

The book follows a range of quirky residents and is centred around a pub in the fictional town of Little Bardon.

Kelvin, pictured, began his career as a trainee reporter based in Maldon.

He later worked for regional newspapers including Essex County Newspapers and the Colchester Evening Gazette. and had a spell on Fleet Street.
