A former Army captain has launched a social media campaign to get a job in journalism after completing his NCTJ studies.
Conor Wilson has launched the campaign while searching for his first full-time role in the industry.
Conor, pictured, served in the British Army for eight years, before leaving to pursue his dream career in journalism.
In a video appeal on X, stating his aim of going from “soldier to journalist in 90 days”, he appealed for anyone with a potential story to get in touch to help him build his portfolio.
He has spent time working for The Times, The Sunday Times and the South West Londoner during his studies.
In a post accompanying his video, whic has received more than 22,000 views since last Sunday (1), Conor wrote: “I need your help.
“Having finished my NCTJ studies, I’m launching a campaign to go from soldier to journalist in 90 days.
“With experience in local news, defence and women’s football, I’m looking for my first full-time role in the industry and need your help to spread the word.”
