A weekly newspaper has announced plans to expand its circulation beyond its traditional patch.

The Impartial Reporter, which is based in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, has revealed it is hoping to be made available in more newsagents across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The Newsquest-owned Reporter is already available beyond its traditional patch in places including Portstewart, on the north coast of Ireland, and Belfast.

New editor Rodney Edwards, pictured, announced the expansion plan on Twitter.

Posting on Monday, he wrote: “Great to see The Impartial Reporter on the shelves in Portstewart.

“We are expanding to other parts of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for readers interested in our part of the world.

“More details on that soon.”
