A weekly newspaper has announced a fresh expansion of its cultural offering with an new books section.

Enniskillen-based weekly the Impartial Reporter has announced the move, which will lead to increased coverage of literary reviews and events.

The new section will be curated by reporter Victoria Johnston, pictured.

Its launch coincides with Book Week NI, a Northern Ireland-wide event celebrating literature.

Announcing the move on X, editor Rodney Edwards wrote: “[I’m] excited to announce the Impartial Reporter’s new books section, in association with Waterstones.

“We will feature reviews, new releases, top-sellers, competitions, and events. Curated by Victoria Johnston, it launches in this week’s paper.”
