Regional editorial boss to run race in aid of clean water

David BartlettAn editorial boss is set to undertake a charity running challenge in a bid to provide better access to clean water around the world.

David Bartlett will compete in the Great North Run 2023 to raise funds for WaterAid.

David, who is Reach plc’s audience and content director for London and the South-East, will take part in the race on 10 September.

He has set an initial sponsorship target of £500 on a JustGiving page.

David, pictured, said: “I’m running the Great North Run 2023 for WaterAid.

“WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation.

“Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

“Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives.

“With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.”
