A regional publisher has announced the promotion of three journalists to senior editorial roles.

Reach plc has confirmed three new appointments in the South-East of England, where Alice Cunningham, Alex Boyd and Liam Ryder have all been given new responsibilities across a range of county-wide titles.

Alice, pictured, has been promoted from content editor to deputy editor at Herts Live, and will also work with Bedfordshire Live, Buckinghamshire Live, Norfolk Live and Suffolk Live in her new role.

Liam becomes content editor in Buckinghamshire and will also work across the same sites as Alice, while Alex becomes deputy editor at Berkshire Live, Hampshire Live, Oxfordshire Live and Sussex Live.

Posting about her promotion on Twitter, Alice wrote: “I can’t wait to help more teams share the incredible stories these counties have to offer and I really want to hear from local people and help give them a voice.”

Liam added: “I can’t wait to get to work and am so grateful for this amazing opportunity.

“Really looking forward to delivering the stories that matter to these communities and working alongside some amazing journalists, some of whom have been wonderful colleagues for a while now.”

And Alex said it was “a pleasure to get to work with so many talented people and tell stories from so many areas”.
