Journalists have been given more time to enter this year’s Wales Media Awards.

Awards organiser the Journalists’ Charity has announced entrants now have until this Friday, 21st July, to make their submissions for the 2023 edition.

Eighteen different prizes are on offer in total and the awards are free to enter.

Around 200-plus guests including editors, journalists and students, are expected to attend the awards dinner which will take place at Cardiff’s Parkgate Hotel on 10 November.

In a statement, the Journalists’ Charity said: “The Wales Media Awards committee has decided to extend the deadline for nominations for this year’s awards. You now have until 5pm on Friday 21 July to enter your work.”
