A former regional daily editor has taken up a fresh role with a marketing firm.
Steve Hall, left, has been appointed as communications director with Purpose Media, a marketing firm based in South Normanton, Derbyshire.
Steve edited the Derby Telegraph for 10 years in two separate spells and was editor-in-chief of Reach plc’s East Midlands titles at the time of his 2018 departure from the regional press after 36 years in the industry.
Steve told The Business Desk East Midlands: “During my time as a non-executive director, I have been hugely impressed by the Purpose Media team’s commitment to achieving outstanding results for clients.
“Their strategic approach to meeting customers’ marketing objectives and demonstrating return on investment helps them to stand apart from their peers and to build long-lasting relationships which really deliver.”
Steve will carry out his role at Purpose alongside existing commitments as a director of Marketing Derby and chair of Derby County Community Trust.
Purpose Media managing director Matt Wheatcroft said: “Steve’s expertise and track record of success further strengthens our ability to provide customers with impactful solutions across web, creative, video and digital marketing, using insights and technology to bring their visions to life and help achieve their business objectives.”
