Shaun LowthorpeA former regional daily business editor has returned to frontline journalism as the new editor of a city news website.

The Norwich Seeker has unveiled Shaun Lowthorpe as its new editor, where he will take over from founder Tom Bristow.

Shaun, pictured, has been a journalist for 20 years, including as a political correspondent and the business editor of the EDP before leaving in 2016.

He currently lectures in journalism at the University of East Anglia and teaches business management at City College Norwich.

Tom, who was formerly investigations editor at Archant, now works as a reporter for Politico Europe in addition to his work with the Seeker.

He will remain as a director of the Community Interest Company that runs the Seeker, with Shaun taking over the title’s day-to-day running.

Tom told HTFP: “I’m delighted that a journalist of Shaun’s calibre has agreed to take the Seeker forward.

“He has lots of great ideas for it and I can’t wait to see how this experiment develops.”
