Daily moves to new city centre base with podcast studio

A podcast studio is among the features of a regional daily’s new city centre office.

The Birmingham Mail has moved to Three Brindleyplace, in Birmingham city centre, after six years at its previous Chruch Street base.

Sister titles the Birmingham Post, Sunday Mercury, Birmingham Live and Business Live will also be based from the new headquarters.

According to publisher Reach plc, the brand new offices have increased desk space, more meeting rooms, a podcast studio, breakout spaces and the latest video and communications technology to enable staff to hold conferences with colleagues across the UK.

The Mail had moved back to its previous city centre base at Church Street in 2017 after more than nine years at the Fort Dunlop complex, in Castle Bromwich.

Birmingham Live editor and Reach West Midlands editorial director Graeme Brown, pictured in the new office, told HTFP: “We are very excited about the move to Brindleyplace.

“The new office is an ideal location to not only report on Birmingham but also celebrate the best of our city.

“From out of our window, we can see much of what is great about our evolving city centre and we are right in the heart of Birmingham to report on the things that matter to our readers.”
