A content chief has left two regional news websites to join their new national sister title.

Samantha King has announced her departure from Oxfordshire Live and Buckinghamshire Live, where she has worked for the past 19 months, most recently as content editor.

Samantha, pictured, is taking up a new role as creative lead at Curiously, Reach plc’s new brand which aims to attract more readers aged between 25 and 34.

She announced her departure in a series of Twitter posts last Friday, her last day with Oxfordshire Live and Buckinghamshire Live.

Samantha wrote: “I won’t get overly soppy but I’ve met some great people in this job who I now count as friends.

“So what’s next? As of Monday I’ll be joining Curiously as creative lead which is a dream-come-true job focusing on social-first news.

“With it comes a move back to my spiritual home of Lancashire, so do say hello if you’re North-West-based.”
