Lucy-Thorne-Pic-e14181386888722New journalism jobs have been created as a regional publisher aims to expand its news operation in three counties.

Reach plc has announced the creation of three new jobs across its Oxfordshire Live and Surrey Live websites, as well as a new content editor role at Dorset Live.

At Surrey Live, Reach is looking to recruit a content editor and a reporter while at Oxfordshire Live, a new reporter will be taken on.

The new roles have been announced by Lucy Thorne, pictured, in a thread on Twitter.

Lucy, who edits both titles is also responsible for Berkshire Live and Buckinghamshire Live, said: “We’re looking to expand our teams at Surrey Live and Oxfordshire Live and have a few roles available for journalists at different stages of their careers.

“If you have any questions about the roles below, my DMs are open.”

Surrey Live was previously known as Get Surrey, having been launched by Reach forerunner Trinity Mirror as online brand of the Surrey Advertiser Group.

Oxfordshire Live was created last year as part of Reach’s plan to run regional news titles covering every county in England and Wales.

Announcing the new Dorset Live role, Reach’s interim South West audience and content director Edd Moore wrote: “The brilliant Dorset Live is expanding and now we’re looking for a talented senior journalist to help lead the growing team.

“Journalism jobs don’t come much more exciting than this.”
