Alice Kemp-HabibThe editor of a local newspaper is leaving her role after six months to resume her career as a freelance.

London-based publisher Social Spider has announced the departure of editor Alice Kemp-Habib from the Haringey Community Press.

Alice, pictured, joined the Press in June after a previous spell of freelancing, during which time she has written for publications including the Sunday Times.

Social Spider is now seeking a replacement for Alice and the job is being advertised on HTFP.

“We’re really sorry that she’s leaving us to move forward with her successful freelance career but we hope she will continue to work with us on specific projects in the future.”

The Community Press, which launched in 2016, was previously edited by Luchia Robinson.

Formerly the Tottenham Community Press, it changed its name and expanded to cover areas of London including Crouch End, Hornsey, Muswell Hill and Wood Green last November.
