A regional publisher has held its first debate dedicated to energy sustainability across the region where it is based.

Archant has hosted an online forum with representatives from the wind, nuclear and agricultural sectors to discuss the environmental future of the East of England.

The webinar, entitled ‘Are We Ready For Net Zero?’, was aimed at informing East Anglian businesses of the need to reduce carbon and offered hints and tips on how to get in line with the government’s strategy of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050.

It follows the launch last year of Insight Energy, Archant’s dedicated digital channel to share news from the energy sector.

Archant chief executive Lorna Willis said after last Wednesday’s event: “The energy sector is of vital importance to East Anglia and our dedicated Insight Energy content is designed to inform and champion all that’s happening here.

“We’re committed to delivering content in the most engaging and relevant way and I’m delighted our first webinar stimulated debate and hopefully got more local businesses thinking about the journey to Net Zero.”
