Training centre launches new sports journalism diversity scholarship

ToneyA journalism school has launched a new scholarship aimed at increasing diversity in sports reporting.

News Associates and Sportsbeat, in partnership with the Sports Journalists’ Association, has announced the new scheme, with applications now being welcomed.

The successful applicant will have their fees covered while they undertake their NCTJ diploma in multimedia sports journalism at News Associates, with the option of studying in either London or Manchester, from 2 September 2019.

At the conclusion of their studies the successful candidate will be offered a full-time four-month contract at national press agency Sportsbeat, commencing May 2020 based in London.
