Former daily editor celebrates landing new clients for PR firm

A former regional daily editor is celebrating after his PR company secured three new clients.

32West, run by former North West Evening Mail editor James Higgins, has been appointed as PR and content partners for the UK’s largest home fragrance company Wax Lyrical.

The announcement comes as 32West, based in Ulverston, Cmbria, revealed it would also be taking on to other “globally successful” firms – REACT and Forth Engineering.

James launched the company in May last year and has since been joined by former colleagues including Jonathan Lee, former MD at the CN Group and its successor Newsquest Cumbria, and award-winning former Mail journalist Caroline Barber.

Said James: “We are over the moon to have been appointed by three amazing companies and can’t wait to get to work.

“In Wax Lyrical, we have a brand of global repute which is, without doubt, one of the finest in its sector. It is based just a stone’s throw away from 32West’s headquarters and, while we may be local to each other, this business’ story is one of international success.

“With regards to both Forth and REACT, we have two companies which are innovative, pioneering and truly leading the way in the specialist fields in which they operate.

“Both have fantastic stories to tell about their people and their projects. Both provide solutions to globally-important challenges and have exciting plans in the pipeline.”
