Ex-regional daily journalists to run marathon for cancer charity

Two former regional daily journalists are set to run a marathon in aid of a charity one of them now works for.

Scott D’Arcy and Emma Dunn will compete in the Brighton Marathon in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

The pair used to work together on the Swindon Advertiser, but Emma is now a PR officer for Breast Cancer Care, while Scott works as a news reporter for the Press Association.

The pair will undertake the challenge on 15 April. So far they have raised £270 towards their target of £430.

In a message to donors, Scott said: “It’s my first, and likely last, attempt at a marathon and I know your donations will keep me going when I have to run through the inevitable wall I will face at around the three-mile mark.”
