Former weekly reporter launches own PR company

Tamsin ParkerA former regional journalist has launched a company to train businesses how to deal with the press.

Tamsin Parker, left has launched Legs PR, which is aimed at organisations ranging from small start-ups to large companies across the West Midlands.

Tamsin, 41, began her career on Post and Times newspapers, in Leek, Staffordshire, in 1996 and later went on to work for Signal Radio, in Stoke-on-Trent, and ITV Central News.

She is now based in Blythe Bridge, near Stoke.

She told The Sentinel newspaper: “It’s always something I wanted to do and it just got to point in life where I thought ‘I’m going to do it’. I have many years of experience as a journalist.

“I’ve worked as a news reader at Signal One and as a broadcast journalist for Central News.

“And now I want to give PR support to businesses and organisations across the West Midlands whether they be small start-ups or large companies.”
