The awards, held in association with the Sunday Herald, were set up to celebrate the best of Scotland’s LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community.
Hannah will find out if she has won at a ceremony to be held in Glasgow on 20 October.
She said: “I’m delighted to have been nominated for this year’s Icon Awards as I feel passionately about LGBT equality in Scotland.
“I’m grateful to the Sunday Herald for supporting my work – it is a paper which has always campaigned to raise awareness of important issues, such as homophobia and gender identity.
“I hope my articles have gone some way towards changing things for the LGBT community.”
More than 20,000 votes have been cast by the public in order to help determine the nominees.
