Rebrand for journalism training business

CLELA media training organisation has rebranded to reflect its “growing status”.

CTJT (Cleland Thom Journalism Training) has changed its name to the College of Media and Publishing (CMP) as of yesterday.

The business has delivered the NCTJ qualification by distance learning since 2003, and trained more than 1,500 journalists at in-house workshops.

It was founded by Cleland Thom, pictured left, who worked in the regional press for 25 years.

He said: “The new name reflects the business’ growing status, and the range of courses we offer.

“CTJT worked OK as Cleland Thom Journalism Training when I was running the business on my own, delivering journalism courses. But we’re much bigger than that now.”

CMP will continue delivering the NCTJ Diploma and NQJ by distance learning.
