A regional weekly newspaper columnist has won a postie an Employee of the Month Award.

In her column That’s Life, Fiona Armstrong, weekly columnist from the Courier Weekend magazine mentioned the good work done by Parcelforce driver, Julie-Ann Rankin.

Julie’s boss, Mel Clark, Operations Manager for Perth Parcelforce, read the article, and then made Julie employee of the month as a result.

Said Mel: “I read the article ‘That’s Life’ in The Courier weekend magazine and was surprised to find that there was reference to one of my drivers in there.

“I’m always pleased to get good feedback about the Perth Parcel Force depot, I can report that on the strength of this story and Julie-Ann’s professional open attitude she will be getting the ‘May Employee of the Month Award.’

The Courier’s Saturday magazine is shortlisted for Best Supplement in the Regional Press Awards.
