Monthly sales pick up at leading Scottish titles

Sales figures for two leading Scottish newspapers saw a slight increase in February according to the latest report.

Circulation for the Daily Record and sister title the Sunday Mail rose by 1.78pc and 1.82pc respectively, according to the monmhtly multi-platform report by the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC).

However the Sunday Mail together with the Dundee-based Sunday Post recorded double-digit declines in year-on-year sales, while the Daily Record reported a drop of 9.97pc.

The figures, released monthly by the ABC, mainly cover UK national titles and no longer include The Scotsman or the Scotland on Sunday, which have requested earlier this year to be included in the regional figures.
