Nominations are now open for a set of awards designed to celebrate the achievements of people from ethnic minorities in Great Britain.

The Garavi Gujarat Publications Leadership and Diversity Awards, run in asscoation with the Daily Mail, aim to recognise new talent in print, online, radio or television journalism.

Entrants must be under the age of 30, and the winner will receive a bursary cheque of £500 from the Daily Mail and the chance of a week’s work experience on the newspaper.

Last year the award was won by the Inderdeep Bains who worked at the Slough Observer at the time.
