The beer is set to flow in Welshpool next week as more than 50 current and former staff of the town’s weekly newspaper stage a reunion.

Journalists past and present from the NWN Media-owned Powys County Times & Express at Welshpool are planning the get-together next Friday, 28 August.

Former editor-in-chief Graham Breeze, former deputy editor Sally Williams and current staff photographer Phil Blagg are trying to track down ex-staff members for what they say will be a “boozy night out.”

Said Graham: “When Sally, Phil and I met up we thought it would be nice for former colleagues to meet at a social occasion, rather than a funeral and started to list the names we knew.

“We’ve so far got a list of 50 names but I’m sure there there will be some we missed out,” he added.
