Who's missing out on medicine?

A quarter of people suffering from diabetes are missing out on vital medication, new research suggests.

Drugs such as prophylactic aspirin and statins which prevent blood clots and reduce cholesterol are not available to many of the UK’s 2.3m sufferers.

The need is said to be even greater in the over-40s.

Speak to your local diabetic groups and charities to see what problems exist on your patch.

Perhaps there are access problems to rural GP surgeries or budgets are being cut to deal with other areas of medical care.
