Newsquest regional managing director for Wales and Gloucestershire, Gavin Steacy, has been appointed regional managing director for Midlands South in addition to his existing role.
Newsquest Midlands South publishes the Worcester News and various weekly titles including the Berrow’s Worcester Journal, Kidderminster Shuttle, Ledbury Reporter and Malvern Gazette.
Gavin took up his role at Wales and Gloucestershire in January and oversees the South Wales Argus, Barry & District News, Free Press Series, Milford Mercury, Stroud News & Journal, Western Telegraph and Wilts & Gloucestershire Standard as well as several other weekly papers.
He had previously held several senior positions across Trinity Mirror.
Gavin succeeds Phil Radburn, who retired as regional managing director for Midlands South in June.
Meanwhile John Banks, regional managing director of Newsquest Hampshire, has also taken responsibility for Dorset.
Newsquest Dorset publishes the Bournemouth Daily Echo, Dorset Echo and Bridport and Lyme Regis News.
He took up his role at Hampshire in 2005, where titles include the Hampshire Chronicle, Salisbury Journal, Andover Advertiser, Basingstoke Gazette and Southern Daily Echo.
