Football team bares all for press snapper Jane

A football club’s bid to raise money for Cancer Research led to an unusual assignment for press snapper Jane Jordan when she was asked to photograph the entire – naked – team.

Chasetown FC decided to bare their souls Рand everything else Рin a risqu̩ charity calendar after one of the team was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

And after meeting Midlands photographer Jane on an earlier assignment they decided there was no better woman to help them become calendar pin-ups.

Jane, (29), said: “I have to say it was certainly one of the most unusual jobs I have worked on and I had great fun doing it.

“I was doing a job for the Sunday Mercury which was a grass roots feature on one of the team and while I was there they mentioned the calendar.

“I wasn’t sure at first and thought they were winding me up, but once I realised it was for real I was happy to help.”

After inviting Jane, who has also worked for the Coventry Evening Telegraph and Express and Star, to the football ground the team were quick to show they were anything but camera shy, and had even come up with a few suggested poses.

Jane said: “I wasn’t sure what to expect but they had it all planned out with what they wanted to do with each of the 12 pictures. They had really thought it through.

“It was all good fun and was all tastefully done. None of them were shy – except for me, I was quite embarrassed!

“I was really pleased with the pictures and am looking forward to seeing the end result – hopefully they will sell well and raise a lot of money for charity.”
