New website urges visitors to make the Big Green Switch

A new website has been launched by Associated Northcliffe Digital to encourage visitors to make a switch to a greener, more environmentally-friendly lifestyle – without inconvenience or huge expense.

The Big Green Switch – www.biggreenswitch.co.uk – aims to make the process of moving to greener living as easy and straightforward as possible.

It wants to encourage participation from the increasingly large number of people who consider themselves “keen to be green” and just need an extra push or helping hand to begin making the switch.

Project manager Steve Allen said: “What we aim to do on the Big Green Switch website is demonstrate that there are a large number of easy ways to go green which are not only simple and inexpensive to do but could actually end up saving you a sizeable chunk off your annual energy bills – and all the while reducing your carbon emissions and their effect on the future climate of the planet.

“Environmental issues are firmly back on the political agenda and with the major Live Earth concerts event taking place in July, climate change and “going green” are likely to continue to be hot topics of discussion and interest for the public in the coming months.

“We’re confident that people will find the Big Green Switch website a useful and interesting place to find and share all the information they need to make the switch to greener living.”

Individuals or groups interested in finding out more about the Big Green Switch website or working in partnership with the site on a particular project or feature can contact Steve at [email protected] or on 0116 227 3104.
