A new look with new features is planned for the Go2Coventry web site run by the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

The paper is promising more news, more sport, free web mail, free websites for communities, extended what’s on information and a detailed local and international weather guide.

The new site will be part of the ic24 network, run by the Trinity Mirror group, which also owns the Birmingham Post & Mail newspapers, Liverpool’s Post & Echo and Newcastle’s Journal and the Evening Chronicle.

The new address – which isn’t live yet – will be www.icCoventry.co.uk

Paul Gilroy, internet manager for icCoventry, said: “This is a major development for the internet here in Coventry and will help maintain our position as a pioneer of new media here in The Midlands.

“IcCoventry will offer an extensive range of information and services to its many users across the region and around the world”.

The current website is www.go2coventry.co.uk
