The Express & Star, Wolverhampton, has re-launched its website with a new look – and a new name.

Expressandstar.com replaces Westmidlands.com, which won a succession of industry awards for its publishers, Midlands News Association.

The new site (pictured) extensively increases the amount of content from the paper available on the Internet, and all its 10 main editions get their own home page.

Aidan Goldstraw, the Express & Star’s head of Internet development, said: “We launched Westmidlands.com in 1997 and although there have been minor redesigns before this is the first opportunity we’ve had to re-assess and re-build from the ground up.

“The new design aims to produce an immersive experience that keeps users clicking.

“So far feedback has been extremely positive.”
