Matt's late night Currie

Web editor Matt Bailey was flying the Adoption-net flag during an interview on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Matt edits the award-winning Northcliffe Electronic Publishing website and was invited along to Birmingham to take part in a live adoption debate, chaired by former MP Edwina Currie, as part of the Late Night Currie show.

The BBC sent a driver to collect him from his home in Stoke-on-Trent and chauffer him to Birmingham’s Pebble Mill Studios for the broadcast.

Matt (below) said: “It was a great opportunity to promote the site but Edwina put me well and truly in the hot seat.

“The show was completely live so I really had to think on my feet.”

The panel comprised three experts from different areas of adoption and fostering.

The show, Late Night Currie, broadcasts between 10pm and 1am every Saturday and Sunday. BBC FiveLive transmits on 909 and 693 AM and on satellite.
