The Lynn News in west Norfolk is proving something of a local attraction.

The newspaper offices seem to be on locals’ lists of places to visit – and three groups recently enjoyed visits to the company offices guided by the editor, Malcolm Powell.

Along with publishing director David Dixon he showed them how the news gets out to the public in what is one of the largest geographical areas covered by a local newspaper in the UK.

VIPs on the visits included West Norfolk Mayor George Pratt, who met key personnel from the editorial, photographic, advertising, production, promotions and newspaper sales and accounts departments.

Mr Dixon said: “We play an important part in all aspects of the life of the town and the wider rural community and it gives us great pleasure to have this acknowledged by visiting groups.
