Frank returns to print

Scottish journalist and broadcaster Frank Gilfeather has been signed up by the Aberdeen Evening Express in a move which marks a return to his old stomping ground.

Frank is a former champion boxer and promises to pull no punches in a new straight-talking column.

He began his career as a “cub reporter” in Dundee before starting at the Evening Express in the early 1970s.

In the mean time he’s fought his way to becoming Scottish amateur lightweight champion and represented his country 16 times.

He eventually left the Evening Express to pursue a career reporting and presenting for Grampian TV.

Taking up his new role, he said: “I believe strongly the voice of the people should be heard. And if, on occasion, I can represent that voice, I’ll feel satisfied.”
