Examiner columnist publishes diary book

After 12 years, 2,500 columns and over two million words, an Examiner columnist has had a book published covering his newspaper work.

Denis Kilcommons has captivated readers of the Huddersfield Daily Examiner with his ramblings in The Diary column since 1989.

Now, the journalist has had the first 10 years of his column celebrated in a new paperback book.

The book is likely to become an instant hit with the thousands of readers who daily enjoy reading The Diary.

Denis said: “Having written more than two million Diary words I can only commend readers for their stamina and good taste.

“Accordingly, this book is dedicated to them and all those who have contributed to the Diary with memories, photographs, bad jokes, inspiration and friendship.”
