After 18 months as a news reporter at the Nottingham Evening Post, where her remit was to dig out stories about the University of Nottingham, Emma Head has a new job – digging out stories about the University of Nottingham.

Emma (23), who spent three years at the Mansfield Chad after training at Stradbroke College, Sheffield, is to join the University of Nottingham as a press officer.

She explained: “Through the job I was doing at Nottingham I became really interested in the stories coming out of the University. I find the research that’s going on there really fascinating. That’s why I applied for the job when I heard about it from my contacts.”
