Deputy steps up to take on Sunday paper

Gaynor Selby has been appointed as the new editor of Luton on Sunday.

Previously deputy editor of the weekly title, Gaynor succeeds Aylia Fox who stepped down from the post earlier this year.

Gaynor, (28), had been acting editor since Aylia’s departure, and will also be responsible for Dunstable on Sunday.

She has worked for LSN Media, which publishes the Bedfordshire titles, for nine years.

She said: “I’m delighted to be editor of one of the best regional newspapers in the country.

“LSN Media is proud of its fiercely independent editorial and I am committed to bringing hard-hitting stories to our readers.”

Since joining the company as a trainee reporter Gaynor has worked her way up the ranks, becoming news editor in 2001 and deputy editor a year later.

Founded in 1977, LSN Media – previously known as Local Sunday Newspapers – is an independent regional publisher, which currently owns seven newspapers in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

As well as Luton on Sunday, Dunstable on Sunday and Bedfordshire on Sunday (North and Midlands), it also publishes Hertfordshire on Sunday, Leighton Buzzard on Sunday and the MK News which is published on a Wednesday.
