Chief executive takes the hot seat to be quizzed by fans

Football fans have been treated to an exclusive web chat with Norwich City Football Club’s chief executive on the Eastern Daily Press website www.edp24.co.uk.

Neil Doncaster took the hot seat as the website’s chat guest to answer live questions from fans just a few hours after vital planning approval was given for Norwich City’s new South Stand.

  • Neil Doncaster with EDP24’s Celia Sutton, Peter Raven and Vince Yallop
  • Web manager Celia Sutton said: “Neil was delighted to take up the opportunity to talk directly to fans straight after this important decision for the Canaries.

“He even rearranged his diary to make sure he could be with us.”

Neil spent an hour answering questions on subjects ranging from the details of the new stand development to concerns over the club’s financial situation and the future of some of its players.

Celia said: “He was prepared to answer pretty much everything that was thrown at him, and he even did his own typing for his replies.”

The web chat was the busiest of the three chats run so far by EDP24, which is planning more with other leading local figures in the near future as part of its drive to add to what the Archant title can offer its readers.
