Football fans could be the latest group of people to help score some cash for an appeal by the Paisley Daily Express.

The Paisley Partnership has organised a special footballing event to raise money for the Laura’s Playpark Appeal to build a playpark in memory of tragic murder victim Laura Donnelly.

The organisation’s Step On Up Group is aiming to collect at least £1,000 from the football festival.

The event will take place on Sunday, March 18 and they are currently looking for teams of between five and seven players to sign up for the event.

There will also be a whole host of other activities, including a beat the goalie stand and a bouncy castle, and a mystery footballing hero will make an appearance at the event.
