"Back Appeal" – Daily Post

People in North Wales are being called upon to back a £2m appeal that could see the creation of a new hospice in the principality.

The Daily Post is pledging its full support to the scheme to build a new Hope House.

It would be linked to the Hope House Hospice near Oswestry, which already looks after dozens of sick children from North Wales.

Daily Post editor Alastair Machray said: “To have the support, the expertise and the care of Hope House available locally – to know that this special, unique service could be virtually on their doorstep, would surely bring comfort to those who need it most.”

The hospice appeal will be called Ty Gobaith yng Nghymru – Hope House in Wales.

The new unit could be open in 2003.
