Regional daily urges readers to offer feedback on newspaper

Rob KellyA regional daily is urging readers to get in touch with ways they would improve the newspaper.

The Lancashire Telegraph has launched the consultation, in a bid to help readers “feel part of the community and their newspaper”.

A message asking readers to get in touch on the Telegraph’s website states the paper continues to “strive to reach as many readers as possible on a daily basis”.

It currently has 24,014 Facebook followers and 76,987 Twitter followers.

Web editor Rob Kelly, pictured above left, said: “The Telegraph’s readers are the reason the paper strives to provide the biggest and best stories first.

“Want to hear from our readers more than ever and that is why we have tried to make it as easy as possible.

“For football fans, they can ‘Like’ and ‘Follow’ the Lancashire Telegraph’s Facebook pages dedicated to Blackburn Rovers and Burnley news.

“There is also ‘The Lancashire Telegraph Camera Club’ where anyone amateur photographers can get snapping and share their pictures and see them in print.”

    And we all know what that really means don’t we folks? Some newspapers begging for reader donations and others hoodwinking amateur photographers into filling their pages and websites for free.

    Better than those time and money-wasting focus groups when people tell you what they think you want to hear for £20 a pop.
